International students can work up to 20 hours per week. On top of that, these on-campus jobs can be like mini-internships, enabling students to taste different work environments, for instance working in an on-campus TV-Studio, being a tutor for other students, or playing the role of a campus tour guide. OPT (Optional Practical Training)
OPT stands for “Optional Practical Training” and is the working visa that any international student can obtain after obtaining an undergraduate and/or master's degree. The duration of this visa varies, but the minimum length of time you will be able to work in the U.S. is 12 months. During these 12 months, international students will be able to work any job that they can get in the U.S., without any restriction. This is an opportunity to gain first real world working experience and see the fruits of the investment you made during your undergraduate degree.
