What’s your relation with the U.S.?

Since I was in high school I felt fascinated about the U.S. It was never presented the opportunity to me until I was finishing my bachelor’s degree in Spain. I worked and saved money for a while to make my dream to complete my education in the U.S. a reality.  I thought it was going to be one year, graduate and then go back, but here I am still in the U.S. 9 years later. I am close to earning my US citizenship. The journey has not been easy and an example of that is the many visas and permits I’ve had (e.g. F1, CPT, OPT, H1B, and Green card) but it’s been so worthy for me and the family.  I see myself enjoying the American way of living a few more years and then travel around the world while working for Epro 360.

Why are you working for a company like Epro 360?

I have experienced first hand the fear and challenges of studying and working in the U.S. as a foreigner.  During the time I was studying at the university, I helped a few people from Spain to study in the U.S. just as a favor and I realized that I very much enjoy the process of helping them and giving them advice.  I was very lucky to know Jonas and Oswaldo who shared the same interest and passion for helping students to make their dream to study and succeed in the U.S. a reality and that’s why we created Epro 360.

My typical day at Epro 360 (where you work, what you do, etc.)

The only typical thing is that I’m with my laptop and my airpods taking calls.  The rest changes almost every day. We have created a work environment that allows team members to work from the place and during the time that they want.  Sometimes, I’m travelling with the family but that’s not a reason for not connecting with my team and students. Other times, I’m just working at home and other times I go to coworking spaces to share my day with others.  I like to keep myself busy so there is not a day that I don’t have at least one or two calls with part of the team, a student/family, or an existing or potential partner.

Favourite place or trip in the U.S.

The year after I arrived to the U.S. I bought a car and drove all the way from St. Louis to New York with my friend Robby. That was more than 1,000 miles and took us two days of driving! In New York, I picked up my mother and fiance and we did a road trip around the East Coast (Philadelphia, Washington, Niagara Falls, Boston…). It’s a trip that I recommend everybody to do.

Favourite place or trip trip outside the U.S.

In 2017, my wife Lucia and I went to different places in Argentina and we loved it.  The places that we enjoyed the most was El Calafate. It really gives you a good sense of how small and insignificant humans are compared to nature, and the landscape is breathtaking.  Picture here.

Best moment at Epro 360.

It’s difficult to choose one as we have had the privilege to help so many students and families to fulfil their dreams.  More than a specific moment, I very much love the feeling that I have everyday of making a positive impact to the world.

Hobbies.

Epro and my 2 year old son Marco do not give me much freedom but when I have the chance I love playing soccer. I also enjoy reading books that help me grow personally or professionally and a good beer with friends.

Recent book/s that you enjoyed and recommend.

At Epro 360, we all enjoy a lot the content created by Mindvalley.  It’s not random that we grant all our students, regardless of the program and package they choose, with one year access to the online academy.  The founder of this academy released a few years ago the book “The Code of the Extraordinary Mind…” It is a book is very pragmatic, easy to understand, and may alter your views of many aspects of your current life for positive, so whenever we get the chance, we share a copy with our most motivated students.  (You can show this pic).

Recent movie/s or tv shows that you enjoyed and recommend:

I recently watched House of Cards and I loved it.  The U.S. political system is so intriguing and the character of Frank Underwood is so captivating.
